This series of photographs taken in London represents ephemeral constructions in which the interdependent relationships between one material and another are established. It is the bringing together of different fragments of material with natural elements that allows the spectator to perceive the casualness of that encounter and the precarious logic of the established order. Each of these arrangements suggests in their differences a physical system of equilibrium: an elastic band, a scrap of paper or a shred of cardboard can become a support. Each arrangement is captured in the instance of an intimate connection in which the magnification of the objects suggests the precariousness of the system used and the ephemeral nature of the connection.
